Who We Are
Highland Vehicles Ltd was established in January 2002 and was originally called Apex Vehicle Management Ltd. For several years the business operated from Cheshire but relocated to Grantown on Spey in the Scottish Highlands in October 2011 (still serving clients all over the UK).
We supply any make and model of new car, van, or 4x4.
We negotiate huge discounts across the board and are able to combine these with a full spectrum of competitive finance packages, to all types of businesses and also private individuals.
Our vehicles are sourced via a network of competitive franchised main dealers across the UK and delivery to any mainland address in Britain is free of charge.
The vast majority of our competitors are in the habit of lazily churning out Contract Hire rentals to everybody that enquires. However we have always had a strong consultative approach which means that we carefully qualify each enquiry before we send you a quote. Whilst the majority of our business is still on Contract Hire, it may be that the customer prefers the option to own the vehicle at the end of the agreement, or it may be that they want the flexibility of not being tied into a rigid lease period.
We take part exchanges, settle existing finance agreements, and generally go the extra mile to ensure that our customers get the right vehicle, on the right finance agreement, at the right price.
Testament to this approach is the fact that we have an extremely high renewal rate – more than double the industry average.
However, we’d be nothing without out purchasing power, and this comes from the underlying finance companies that we broker business to. We put the majority of our business to Network Vehicles Ltd, whose parent company (LeasePlan) is one of the largest fleet providers in Europe.
This sounds impressive but how does it affect you?
Simple. The ‘man on the street’ buys one new vehicle every few years, but LeasePlan purchase around 30,000 vehicles every year in the UK, meaning that they are able to negotiate massively enhanced discount terms with every manufacturer in the UK, from Audi through to Volkswagen.
These terms are rolled out to all of their brokers, of which we one. Therefore, when you buy a vehicle from us, you are tapping into these huge discounts, and you can enjoy competitive finance to boot.
As well as LeasePlan we can also use Arval, Lex Autolease, ALD Automotive, ING Lease, Santander, Paragon, and Alphera. We are always looking to add to the products that we offer, and are always on the lookout for new avenues to place business, meaning that we get even more competitive.
If you bought three vehicles from Highland Vehicles, it would be perfectly normal for us to use three different finance companies, as each funder has different strengths and weaknesses.
